Dance in the Desert

“Dance in the Desert” is a biographical documentary film that presents the life as well as the creative and social activities of a unique figure in the contemporary literature of the Baltic States – writer Jurga Ivanauskaitė. The film's main task is to convey Ivanauskaitė's life experiences and to immortalise the ideas she left her readers, including her invitation to seek one's spiritual path fearlessly.

Agnė Marcinkevičiūtė (b. 1972) graduated from the Vilnius Pedagogical School and studied Lithuanian language as well as directing at Klaipėda University. She also holds an MA in television and film directing from the Vilnius Music and Theatre Academy. She has overseen numerous scriptwriting projects.
