A Cube of Sugar

A Cube of Sugar

Ye habe ghand

As the youngest of the five daughters becomes more and more embroiled in the hectic preparations for her engagement party, her sisters gather for the first time in a long while for the occasion—and naturally they get chatty over the kitchen counter. The children of the sprawling family run around out of control, yet they add to the lively energy and exhilaration of the big day. Every member of the family is excited about the ceremony, despite lingering reverberations from past incidents and conflicts among them. The jubilant engagement party scene takes a turn for the tragic when a cube of sugar brings death to one of the celebrants and turns the festivities into a funeral.
