April 14, 2011 — 16th Vilnius international film festival ended with the record number of visitors. This year there were over 60 thousand film fans, who visited the biggest film event in Lithuania. March 30, 2011 — The competition programme “New Europe – New Names” at the Vilnius International Film Festival “Kino Pavasaris” has selected a formidable collection of Eastern and Central European films. The audience will be invited to 11 thrilling, refreshing brand new films thoroughly selected by an international jury. These particular foreign films are all contenders in the line to become the highlights of the festival. They have already proved their potential at Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Pusan, San Sebastian, Locarno and Warsaw film festivals.

March 28, 2011 — French director Marc Fitoussi,, who visited festival ‚Kino pavasaris‘ and presented his film „Copacabana”, mentioned that he, as a director still has lots of things to learn, because he produced only two full-length feature films. However, audience that gathered at cinema theatre in Vilnius had no reproaches and appreciated the film.
