17th Vilnius International Film Festival breaks the record again

17th Vilnius International Film Festival once again ended with the record number of visitors. This year there were over 72 thousand film fans, who visited the biggest film event in Lithuania. This is 12.5 % more than last year when festival had over 64 thousand viewers.

194 films were shown during two weeks of the festival. Among the most popular films were “We Need to Talk about Kevin”, “Wild Bill”, “Happy People: A Year in the Taiga”, “Where Do We Go Now?” and “Café de Flor”, but the audience award was given to French comedy "Untouchable".

There were 579 screenings in 8 cinema theaters around capital city and other four towns of Lithuania. More than 200 industry professionals attended 3rd international film industry conference "Meeting Point – Vilnius”.

18th Vilnius International film festival will be held on the 14th-28th of March, 2013.
